Students prepare for Humanitarian trip to Ghana
This years DP1 students are have chosen Ghana as their destination for this year's humanitarian trip. The students will be supporting an orphanage located in a small village called Bobikuma.
Upon arrival the students will play an active role in the teaching of the students, helping them with homework and assisting with extra lessons. The students will also raise money for much needed materials and basics such as livestock and poultry to help feed the children.
The project is organised through the Swedish Humanitarian group Stiftelsen who have worked to improve the lives of vulnerable children in Ghana since 2008. The centre that the students will be visiting is dedicated to nurturing and educating children who have lost one or both parents.
The project is part of the IB Diploma Programme - Creativity, Activity and Service which all IB students must complete as part of their 2 year course.
